THE CPVVQ AND NAGANO SKATE - AN EXPECTED PARTNERSHIP!
For immediate release
Quebec City, May 6, 2021 - The Club de Patinage de Vitesse de la Ville de Québec (CPVVQ) recently signed an agreement with Nagano Skate. Indeed, the internationally renowned Quebec company will be in charge of the production and delivery of training suits for skaters in all new club colors.
Thus, the large number of CPVVQ skaters, such as a host of skaters from clubs in the province, but also from several countries around the world, will be able to benefit from the thirty years of research and development of the founders of Nagano Skate. "We are proud today to offer a comfortable, efficient and safe skating suit thanks to unique designs and innovative fabrics," said Éric Bédard, shareholder and founding member of Nagano Skate. "Our great expertise comes from our experience as skaters, but also from our desire to always push the sport to extraordinary levels of performance," continues Mr. Bédard.
Speed skating, a spectacular sport if it is one, carries a significant risk of injury. “As managers of the club, we had to make an informed choice to have a partnership with a supplier who is familiar with these issues. We are more than confident that Nagano skate is the right partner for our Club and our members "Explains Sylvie Piché, President of the Board of Directors of the CPVVQ. "The partnership between the CPVVQ and Nagano Skate is therefore a natural part of this process," continues Ms. Piché.
Nagano Skate, which owes its name to the Olympic past of its founding members, stands out as a world leader in precision sharpening and profiling equipment for speed skating, for its range of high performance clothing but also for its involvement with young skaters. “The partnership concluded between with the CPVVQ is closely aligned with the mission that we have given ourselves,” recalls Éric Bédard.
Remember that the CPVVQ is the new major club in the region combining the former clubs of Sainte-Foy, Quebec and the Masters. This Club is in its first year of operation and will have the brand new Centre de Glaces as its home port.
