Our speed skating camp in Iqaluit has just concluded, and what an incredible adventure it was! Alongside Charles Hamelin and Jonah Hurtubise, we shared our passion for the sport with motivated young athletes, and their progress throughout the camp was impressive.

Our goal was simple: to ignite the spark and nurture the love of speed skating. Mission accomplished! Despite sometimes extreme conditions – including a memorable online training session during a polar storm – the energy and determination of the young skaters have been inspiring.

"We also had the opportunity to engage with the community during a public Q&A session with Charles Hamelin, a highlight of sharing and inspiration."

An Impact That Radiates

Our commitment to promoting an active and healthy lifestyle has continued beyond the ice rink, and we are proud to have seen our camp highlighted by CBC and Nunatsiaq News. This media recognition reflects the importance of such initiatives for the development of sport in the North.

"We are leaving Iqaluit with unforgettable memories and the certainty that speed skating has a bright future ahead in this region. A huge thank you to all the participants, partners, and the Nunavut Speed Skating Association for their hospitality and commitment."

See you very soon for an even more memorable new edition!
