Collection: Carpenter Boot Company
Two-time Olympian, Four-time Olympic Coach, Olympic Medalist and U.S. Speedskating Hall of Fame member Kip Carpenter spent his entire speed skating career tinkering with his equipment. What could he do to improve his performance, and later the performance of his skaters? With a mind for mechanics, Kip fast became the go-to person for his athletes for equipment checks, tweaks and fits - all the while wheels spinning: how to achieve more speed?
Never one to be satisfied with the norm, Kip knew the boot industry could do better. And so, after hundreds of hours of experimentation, frustration, grit and determination, Kip developed a new generation of long and short track speed skating boots. And thus, like so many start-ups, Carpenter Boot Company (CBC) was born out of Kip’s garage.
Fifteen years later, CBC custom boots now grace the feet of many of the top skaters in the world. In 2018, Kip partnered with his brother and fellow Olympian Cory Carpenter and sister-in-law Kristin Carpenter to bring CBC to the stock boot market.
In conjunction with the family partnership, CBC unveiled a new line of disruptive skating footwear designed for all levels of skaters with diverse goals and aspirations. Three CBC models (Element, Genesis and CBC Custom) draw upon a decade of experience as well as the expertise of lead professionals in the fields of orthopedics and aerospace.
Prepare to perform beyond expectation with CBC’s most advanced line of boot technology yet.
