  • A non-refundable $50 fee will be retained for cancellations more than 30 days before the camp to cover management and transaction costs.
  • No cancellations will be accepted within 30 days before the camp

The structure of the Academy stands out for its expertise at the international level. Passionate coaches serving the next generation of speed skating.
We welcome renowned active athletes who share their knowledge with young people, they skate with them and also pass on to them their great passion for sport.


PREREQUISITES

- Minimum of one year in long track speed skating.
- Skaters aged 7 and over.

Coaches:

  • To come

The Academy:

  • Usually the schedule is 8 to 5
  • 2 coaches per group at all times, according to Public Health measures.  and the Quebec Speed Skating Federation
  • 2 ice training sessions per day
  • 2 off-ice training sessions per day
  • 1 thematic conference per day: technique, equipment, strategy, athletes' conference, mental preparation, stress management, etc ...
  • Academy coaches with Olympic experience.


Goals:

  • Straight line technical work
  • Technical work on the bend
  • Overtaking technique: inside and outside
  • Introduction to new race tracks
  • Maximizing the starting position
  • Training: speed and volume
  • The techniques taught are related to the latest research in biomechanics from the Canadian national short track team.
