Alexis Dubuc-Bilodeau Franchit Une Nouvelle Étape

Alexis Dubuc-Bilodeau Takes a New Step

"Quadruple Olympic medalist and co-founder of Nagano Skate, Éric Bédard and our ambassador Alexis Dubuc-Bilodeau shared their thoughts with the Journal de Montréal following the recent Junior World Cups in short track speed skating."

At just 16 years old, Alexis has competed against the best junior skaters in the world and continues his meteoric rise. Under the watchful eye of Bédard, who favors a technique and strategy-focused approach rather than just times, he is progressing rapidly. "It's a process," emphasizes Bédard, who runs the sports-study program in Trois-Rivières.

Alexis, passionate about speed, adrenaline, and short track strategy, adapts to the demands of high-level competition. He is preparing for a key stage in his career: joining the national center in Montreal full-time this summer. A choice that involves sacrifices, notably leaving his friends and familiar environment, but one that he fully accepts in his quest for Olympic qualification. His ultimate goal? The 2030 Winter Games.

A pride for Nagano Skate

"We have known Alexis for several years, having had the chance to see him evolve through our Nagano camps. Today, it is a great pride to count him among our ambassadors and to see him take a new step in his career. His commitment and progress are inspiring, and we look forward to following his upcoming performances."
