We are in the media! The Nouvelliste recently published an article tracing our evolution from our beginnings in 2016 to the sustained growth that Nagano Skate is experiencing today. A great opportunity to reflect on our journey, our vision, and our ambitions.

A company born from sport
Nagano Skate was founded by Olympian Éric Bédard and his partner François Drolet with a clear idea: to provide speed skaters with equipment tailored to their real needs. Having faced a lack of specialized products themselves, they mobilized their expertise as high-level athletes to design solutions that truly enhance safety, comfort, and performance.
What started with sharpening stones quickly transformed into a textile innovation company. Helmets, suits, gloves, shin guards, and other specialized accessories were then carefully developed and designed to offer quality accessible to all athletes.

A now multi-sport range
Even though speed skating remains at the heart of our DNA, Nagano Skate has expanded its offerings over the years. The Quebec company now outfits and equips athletes in several sports such as hockey, dek hockey, volleyball, soccer, football, cycling, basketball, and more recently, alpine skiing.
With this diversification, Nagano Skate is now able to support complete sports teams, whether for training clothes, custom uniforms, or certified competition equipment.

A global reach and local pride
Thanks to the quality of our products and the trust of sports organizations, Nagano Skate is now present on the international stage. We are proud to equip more than 20 national teams in speed skating and to strengthen our presence in Europe and elsewhere in the world.
Our warehouse and store remain in Quebec, allowing us to continue contributing to the local economy and supporting the development of athletes here. Our commitment to the community also includes organizing training camps across the country, including an annual camp in Iqaluit to support youth in remote areas.
A beautiful momentum for the future
A big thank you to journalist Matthew Vachon and the Nouvelliste for this article that highlights our work and the passion that drives us every day. The last few years have marked an important turning point for Nagano Skate, and we are determined to continue our growth while remaining true to our mission: to provide every athlete with equipment that matches their determination.
